We have been holding "last Friday" zoom sessions for the past couple months, where we brainstorm activities and projects we could do based on the following month's theme. Any peers are welcome to join these sessions!
Register here each month: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/

We hit the jackpot in April with the right group of people at the right time and come up with a project we are very excited about. The theme for May is diversity!

We want your stories about how your recovery is affected by your identity. We will be sharing those stories on social media, on organizations' websites, and anywhere else that is a forum for people needing inspiration in their own recovery.

Questions and detail to spark writing:
Diversity identity examples (not comprehensive): Cultural, Racial, Economic, LGBTQIA+, Spiritual, Gender, Differently Able, Foster Care/Adoption, Educational, Recovery Pathways, Age, etc.

  • How can our community be more supportive?
  • How does your identity effect your access to care?
  • How were you able to advocate for yourself?
  • What do you see that needs to change?
  • 250-400 words
  • Will be shared with the recovery community on social media, newsletters, websites and more
